When she is ready…
Please don’t breed if you don’t know what you’re doing (and judging by your question, you clearly don’t)…
Educate yourself first. Otherwise your dogs and their puppies (assuming they survive) will be miserable, and YOU will be too (what will you do with a whole litter of unhealthy puppies? No one will want to buy them).
Have you had BOTH the bit*h and the dog tested – and cleared – for genetic defects? Do you know how and when to wean puppies? These things are crucial to their development.
Also, when you say your bit*h’s bleeding “just started today”, do you mean for this cycle, or for the very first time? Because you should NEVER breed a bit*h during her first heat cycle; she’s not physically or mentally mature enough yet. She and the puppies could all die.
Backyard breeders are largely responsible for producing a surplus of dogs with genetic problems, which leads to overpopulation in shelters. Please don’t become one of them.
do you have good homes lined up for the pups are you ready for a lot of vet visits do you have the extra money if so then around 2 years of age is the beast that way their not to young and their immune system is a little better so it gives them all a better survival rate
